Bridlington Mens & Ladies Festival
|
Bridlington Hockey Festival has been running for 67 years as a men’s friendly tournament with many teams coming back year after year. It runs on Easter Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This year the Men’s matches will be 7-a-side on ¾ pitches. For the past 21 years we have run a Ladies 7-a-side competition on Easter Saturday and Sunday. There are usually around 12 men’s teams and 24 ladies’ teams taking part.
The entry fee is £45 per men’s team and £30 per ladies’ team.
All the matches are played on grass with all the pitches on our ground which has a new clubhouse. The clubhouse was built 5 years ago. It has 4 changing rooms with showers, a kitchen and a large bar area with a dance floor. Once the players are at the ground there is no need to travel to play or socialise. The kitchen sells food all day and the bar is open as well. Field Hockey World bring their shop which supplies a wide range of hockey equipment. On Saturday night there is a free disco where all the players have a great night.
Most teams stay in hotels or guest houses (of which there are many). There are also many restaurants in the town so you could either stay half-board or just bed and breakfast. Bridlington Tourist Information Centre would send you details of accommodation in town.

Skegness Easter Festival
|
Annual festival for both mens & womens teams. £50 entry per team. Starts on Friday 9th to Sunday 11th April 2004. Its a plenty of beer and hockey weekend. So come and have fun!!

Weymouth Easter Hockey Festival
|
9-12th April 2004 inc. Great atmosphere and good-natured competition between single-sex 11-a-side teams on one site which has 10+ grass pitches and an astro to accommodate up to 70 teams. Optional mixed and indoor tournaments and exhibition games on Easter Sunday.
Bar and plenty of food/refreshment available on site plus a sports stall with loads of special offers and sports massage therapists. Entertainment organised each night. No accommodation on site but many B&Bs / guest houses / hotels / campsites available nearby.
